How It Works

The mixed wavelength ice point system is based on selective photothermal dynamics. By properly adjusting the laser wavelength, energy, and pulse width, light energy passes through the skin surface to the root of the hair follicle, where it is absorbed and converted into thermal energy that destroys the follicle tissue — causing the hair to lose its ability to regenerate. Because hair removal is only effective during the growth phase of the hair cycle (growth phase → regression phase → resting phase → growth phase), multiple treatments are scheduled in coordination with the natural hair growth cycle for the best results.
